Where we are from and who we are...
Hennes in Hadsel County and the story about the boat Møysalfisk and the to fishermen onboard
Hennes is a small, idyllic village on Hinnøya in Hadsel county in Nordland. There live about 600 people in the area. Hennes has a small marina consisting of a small grocery store and a café. There is also apartments/small fishermen lodges for rental if you need a place to sleep.
From Hennes there is also the possibility to climb Møysalen (1262m) and salmon-fishing in both Kaljordelva, Kaljordvannet and the surrounding sea.
The boat Møysalfisk was bought by to brothers, born and raised in Hennes, in 2014. Since then the boat has been fully restored and used in the seasonal fishing called Lofotfiske. During the summer we want tourists to experience the magnificent nature surrounding Lofoten and Vesterålen with the North-Norwegian midnight sun, high mountains and silent seas.
When we take you from the marina and out into the arctic seas you will on one side see the majestic mountains in Lofoten reflecting in the seas, and on the other side the great maids in Møysalen with its fantastic glacier and if you are really lucky a whale will appear on the side of the boat while an eagle is floating in the air above you.
We wish you welcome!
